SURGIFLO® Hemostatic Matrix Kit with Thrombin – 2994

SURGIFLO® Hemostatic Matrix Kit with Thrombin is intended for haemostatic use by applying to a bleeding surface.

The Flowable Gelatin Matrix is made of porcine gelatin and the Thrombin is made from human plasma. For prescribing information on the Thrombin component, please refer to the EVITHROM® Thrombin, Topical (Human) Prescribing Information in the Instructions for Use of SURGIFLO® Hemostatic Matrix Kit with Thrombin. The patient’s endogenous thrombin is activated, and the patient’s thrombin converts fibrinogen into an insoluble fibrin clot. The thrombin constituent of SURGIFLO® Hemostatic Matrix Kit with Thrombin provides an ancillary effect to the innate haemostatic property of the Flowable Gelatin Matrix.

SURGIFLO® Hemostatic Matrix Kit with Thrombin, following mixing of the Flowable Gelatin Matrix with 2 ml of the sterile Thrombin Solution, contains a volume of minimum 8 ml.

Indication: SURGIFLO® Hemostatic Matrix, mixed with thrombin solution, is indicated in surgical procedures (other than ophthalmic) as an adjunct to hemostasis when control of bleeding by ligature or other conventional methods is ineffective or impractical.
