Position

Ferrosan Medical Devices is committed to operating in compliance with all environmental laws, standards and regulations in the countries and jurisdictions we operate within. Ferrosan Medical Devices also requires our suppliers to be compliant with all environmental laws, standards and regulations.

As an international manufacturer Ferrosan Medical Devices will impact the environment and climate. Ferrosan Medical Devices’ objective is to reduce our environmental impact across our business.

Ferrosan Medical Devices is conscious of the environmental impact we have, and we invest in reducing our negative impact on environment and climate. Consequently, considerations on environment and climate are an integral part of planning and development across our entire business.

Ferrosan Medical Devices’ main environmental impact stems from our manufacturing operations. From use of materials, electricity, gas and water, as well as waste generation to the distribution of our products. Consequently, optimizing resource usage is of great importance to Ferrosan Medical Devices and central in our efforts to reduce our environmental impact.

Ferrosan Medical Devices’ commitment to reducing our impact on the environment and climate also include the three environment related principles of the UN Global Compact Ten Principles, deriving from the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development:

Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;

Principle 8: Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and

Principle 9: Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
